Joint Press Release : Venture And Agilent Technologies Collaborate On Wireless Network Optimization Tool

SINGAPORE, and PALO ALTO, Calif., 21 May 2003 -- Venture Corporation Limited (SGX: Venture) and Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) today announced an agreement to further develop Agilent's existing wireless network optimization tools. Agilent plans to build upon Venture's expertise to make the manufacturing and development of its Air Interface Remote Monitoring Solution (RMS) more cost-effective.

Agilent's Air Interface RMS is a new optimization solution designed to increase work force efficiency up to 60 percent by remotely monitoring and collecting network performance data. A series of remote probes are deployed in service and test vehicles throughout a network to collect RF (radio frequency), data throughput and call event data. The probes then send continuous streams of data back to a central server where reporting and trend analysis is performed via the user's Web browser.

Venture plans to provide manufacturing and development expertise for the Agilent Air Interface RMS product line. The product line continues to be an Agilent-branded solution, sold and marketed through Agilent, with design and manufacturing supported by Venture.
